Hyundai i20

Amelia and I decided that today is the day we go and test drive some cars. I made a booking to test drive the Hyundai i10 and i20. When we got to the dealership the i20 was ready for us first.

My first thought was that this was a clever sales technique, getting us to drive the slightly more expensive car first so that it would set some form of a standard and well, it did.

The i20 is a really good buy and very comfortable drive. It more or less comes with everything except ESP and Leather interior, but it is a really awesome car.

Adobe CS5 Master Collection

I have always wanted to know what people were on about, when referring to PhotoShop or Illustrator, so I finally got myself CS5 Master Collection today and personally feel lost.

For the past few years I have been using a combination of Inkscape and Gimp, but I am looking forward to the learning curve ahead of me, getting familiar with some of the awesome tools that I have heard and read so much about.

Dell Studio 1558

I have had my new Dell Studio 1558, for just close to two weeks now and it is great.

The new Studio 1558 features, 500Gb 7200RPM HDD, Core i5 CPU, 4GB 1333 Mhz DDR2 and an ATi Radeon HD 4570.

So far battery life is about three hours and the embedded 3G connection seems a lot more stable than that of the 1555.

Right now I have got my eye on the new Dell U2311H as an add on to my workspace.

I have always liked the idea of a notebook with a big external display to be used as my digital canvas and a Dell monitor seems to be the perfect fit…

Pelham 123

The third time, recreation of the film, based on the novel by Morton Freedgood writing as “John Godey”, Pelham 123 has got some excitement, but is also quite predictable at times.

If I wasn’t using my notebook as a DVD player, I would have liked to do some work and follow up on some mails, while watching this one.

Pelham 123, does not demand all of your attention and would probably be good for a social evening with friends, as you could comfortably follow the movie as well as participate in a conversation.

It is not one of those keep you on the edge of your seat type films, but all things considered it is not that bad.

Duplicity

Duplicity, was most definitely misleading and not exactly what we expected, but was not a total disaster either. Duplicity, is funny and actually border lining hilarious at times.

What we thought, would offer us a little cloak and dagger, turned out to be a laugh and a half.

If there is anything that the film accurately presents, it is that people you try to screw will most often end up screwing you.
